This course is designed for parents of children 18 months and older.
Although many children may start training or partially training sooner, research shows those early learners are often among children with elimination disorders as time goes on.
To date, the findings of science indicate that children near 27 months of age do best with this play based method.
Readiness is the first undertaking the course, so if they aren't ready, we'll know AND if they aren't ready, you can plan for a time when they are.
This course teaches you how to implement the Potty University system for potty training your toddler so that he or she is independent. You'll have access to the instructors, a community, and easy to access video lessons to help you along the way.
The program is broken up into talk-over-slides video lessons and screen share tutorial walk throughs, paired with tools, checklists, and worksheets to deepen your learning. This program is designed intentionally to reduce the potty training overwhelm, teach strategies clearly and succinctly, and give you the handful of action steps you should take before moving on to the next section. **We have five modules that are released over the period of 3 weeks.**

The first module is open at the time of registration. Modules 2 and 3 open weekly and Modules 4 and 5 open on the third week. This schedule allows participants to successfully complete readiness tests, preparation, and implement the strategies without getting overwhelmed.
This is SUCH a good question. No good answer. I do wish that doctoral degree came with a crystal ball, but it didn't. We can't give you any absolutes.
For typically developing children, findings in research and our clinical experience indicates that they often achieve potty training within 4 hours.
What I can tell you is we've had various results with children over time- students and our own children.
Laura's two kids are 14 months apart. She trained them both at 27 months of age. Her daughter took 4 hours and her son took 2.5 hours. Laura is a potty training ninja.
My own son had issues with bathrooms, toilets, bowl movements, and I resisted training him because I believed it would be a battle. Once we started, however, he never wore diapers again, and he only had a handful of accidents in the day and a half we really focused on his training. I didn't time it, but I'd bet I was over the 4 hour mark and under 8.
A lot of the parents we work with report that between 2 hours and 2 days, they are feeling confident about their child's toileting.
